Safira: Implementing set algebra for service behavior

نویسنده

چکیده

An important property of interacting services is their observable behavior. There exist different formalisms to describe service behavior (e.g. BPEL, BPMN, Petri nets, automata). Based on an extension of automata, in previous work we proposed a compact representation to characterize the behavior of sets of services and introduced a set algebra on it. In this paper, we present with Safira a tool which implements the fundamental set operations for such set of services.

A 3D Statistical Fluid Registration Algorithm

In this paper, we expand the theory behind SAFIRA, a Statistically-Assisted Fluid Registration Algorithm developed in [2] and revisit its use through cross-population validations. SAFIRA was built in a Lagrangian framework, which naturally incorporates two types of statistics on shape variations deformation vectors and tensors in the regularization term of the registration. This makes structura...

Behavior-Based Online Anomaly Detection for a Nationwide Short Message Service

As fraudsters understand the time window and act fast, real-time fraud management systems becomes necessary in Telecommunication Industry. In this work, by analyzing traces collected from a nationwide cellular network over a period of a month, an online behavior-based anomaly detection system is provided. Over time, users' interactions with the network provides a vast amount of usage data. Thes...

Algebraic Matching of Vulnerabilities in a Low-Level Code

This paper explores the algebraic matching approach for detection of vulnerabilities in binary codes. The algebraic programming system is used for implementing this method. It is anticipated that models of vulnerabilities and programs to be verified are presented as behavior algebra and action language specifications. The methods of algebraic matching are based on rewriting rules and techniques...

Set Algebra for Service Behavior: Applications and Constructions

Compatibility of behavior, i.e. the correct ordering of messages, is one of the core aspects for the interaction between services as parts of an inter-organizational business process. In previous work, we proposed formal representations for service behavior (including Petri nets and service automata) and finite representations of sets thereof (operating guidelines). In this article, we show how...

Joint and Generalized Spectral Radius of Upper Triangular Matrices with Entries in a Unital Banach Algebra

In this paper, we discuss some properties of joint spectral {radius(jsr)} and  generalized spectral radius(gsr)  for a finite set of upper triangular matrices with entries in a Banach algebra and represent relation between geometric and joint/generalized spectral radius. Some of these are in scalar matrices, but  some are different. For example for a bounded set of scalar matrices,$Sigma$, $r_*...
